We’re getting into the stage where my son wants to ‘fit in’.
Not a lot. Just a little.
He still likes what he likes and isn’t trying to change that.
But today he asked if he could wear TWO shirts to school.
“Why two shirts? You mean, in case you get too warm in a long sleeve?”
“No. Two short sleeve shirts. Because everyone else does.”
“Alright. Well, let’s find another shirt to put over this one.”
After digging through his closet and finding what he finally said was appropriate, he spreads a little more light on the situation.
“I’m going to show you my belly!” He giggles as he lifts the top shirt, leaving the bottom one visible. “Ha ha, because you can’t see my belly. Now I can do it just like the other kids.”
