Ex-husband: T requested I send you a picture of him.
Me: CUTIE! Tell him I loverly him.
Ex-husband: T said,”Loverly? That only makes sense when mommy says it.” haha
I love having these certain sayings between T and myself. We say “I loverly you!” or “I luuuuurrrvvv you!” And there is something so special in the fact that he knows it’s between just me and him.
Also? Isn’t he just so adorable?
In other news, T and I leave for California today. In fact, this post is set to post automatically so we are probably on the road as it’s being posted. Crazy.
This Saturday is our giant family reunion with my dad’s side (the crazy Italians). I’ve taken a week off work (Thursday through Wednesday) so we’ll have plenty of time to spend with some of the family. The Minnesotans (we’re pretty much divided between Minnesota and California, with few exceptions – like me in Nevada) are in town and I haven’t seen most of them in 11 years, since Papap’s funeral (my paternal grandfather).
We’re excited. My cousin Codi, who is my age, has three kids all right around T’s age. And then there’s the children of all my other cousins. Lots of people to play with.
Friday will be a gathering of the cousins. My grandparents had 5 children, who all had an average of 3 children each (15 cousins total, actually). And now all of those children are having babies (I think my sister is pregnant with #13). The great-grandchildren range in age from 13(ish?) to newborn (a Minnesotan cousin just had a little girl, but they won’t be able to make it to the reunion). Add together all of the spouses as well, and it’s going to be quite the party. I think I heard 60-something people will be at the reunion?
But Friday’s “Cousin Bash” (as they are calling it) will be a little smaller. And drunker. And with less kids (meaning, no kids) running around.
I’m looking forward to it all.
I have one or two other posts scheduled to go out while I’m gone, but other than that I’ll probably be M.I.A. for most of the time. But! I’ll be available on Twitter. Because iPhones are awesome. Sometimes.
So that’s it. I’ll be back soon. With lots of pictures. And probably lots of stories.
